 September brings the dazzling energy of sapphire, the birthstone known for its gifts of fulfillment, joy, and prosperity.  At my last class working with veterans, we experienced a heartfelt share from one of the veterans with a dual diagnosis.  We experienced a rare celestial treat on Monday – a seasonal Blue Sturgeon Moon. This occurs when there are four full moons in a single astronomical season instead of the usual three. In such cases, the third full moon of the four is designated as a "Blue Moon."  As I prepare to leave for a brief vacation in Hawaii to celebrate my birthday, I am excited to be in the powerful presence of Pele, whose home is believed to be Halemaumau crater at the summit of Kilauea as she watches over the island.  This week, the night skies come alive with the breathtaking spectacle of the Perseid meteor shower, a yearly cosmic display that never fails to inspire awe.  August brings gladiolus in full bloom. Gladiolus symbolize "strength of character" because they stand tall and radiant. This month, we'll let the essence of these stunning flowers inspire our 5Rhythms dance, reminding us of the power and elegance we carry within. |
