As the autumn equinox approaches this week in the Northern Hemisphere, we are entering a period of self-reflection, a time to prepare for the cooler, darker days ahead. Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins at sunset on Friday, September 15, 2023 and continues through sundown on Sunday, September 17. It is a period filled with traditions that symbolize the themes of reflection, repentance, and renewal. As the days shorten and nights extend their reach, we find ourselves in a gentle transition, where nature's colors change in preparation for the serenity of fall. As the final days of July unfold around us, the sun-drenched afternoons and longer evenings offer a memorable backdrop for getting outside with nature and moving our bodies.
