As Father's Day draws near, it's a time that allows us to honor and appreciate the fathers and father figures who have shaped us and acknowledge the positive essence they embody. The essence of masculine energy, with its pragmatic qualities of assertiveness, resilience, and protectiveness, is not exclusive to men. It's a universal energy resource that everyone, regardless of gender, can embody. Women, too, can tap into this spirit when asserting themselves, protecting loved ones, and working with tenacity. By embracing the masculine essence, women can balance the nurturing aspects of their feminine energy with the attributes of masculine energy, leading to a more holistic, balanced and empowered existence. Staccato embodies clarity, direction, and decisiveness—a flow often associated with the masculine life force. It is characterized by:
On Father's Day, let's celebrate masculine energy's positive attributes, which can enrich our lives and the lives of those around us. You could even dance a bit of Staccato while you’re at it. Happy Father's Day. With love, The SDP Team Once we achieve balance, we will see everyone as a balance of masculine and feminine. 1:1 Sessions With Sylvie MinotPrivate sessions with Syzygy Dance Project founder, Sylvie Minot are available over Zoom for individuals interested in exploring in-depth movement. What to expect in a session: Sessions begin with checking in to see what a client wants to work with, setting an intention, and engaging in a drum wash. Dance is used to see what the body is holding. Sylvie then guides the client with imagery to connect different body parts and reveal what is being held. These body parts are connected with the areas of the self stuck in a pattern that is no longer useful or another vulnerable part that hasn’t had space to come out. It is given space and a voice, allowing it to move. To find out more, visit https://www.syzygydanceproject.org/work-with-sylvie.html. Comments are closed.
