My recent journey to New York, Budapest, and Bruges filled my heart in ways I'm still processing. There's something profound about dancing with different communities around the world—bringing our movement to them and weaving their traditions back into our practice. Through our Heartbeat and Ancestors workshops, we danced with our hearts wide open, honoring the lineages that move through us. One of the most meaningful experiences was offering an outreach class to patients at a mental health institution in Bruges. Witnessing the healing power of movement in that space reminded me why this work matters so deeply. We also trained additional teachers to share this dance with diverse populations. Now that I'm home, I'm thrilled to dance this weekend with our Bay Area community: Sweat Your Prayers with Sylvie Minot in Point Richmond Saturday, October 11, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Hidden City Ballroom, Point Richmond Preregister: Sweat Your Prayers with Sylvie Minot in Redwood City Sunday, October 12, 10:15 am - 12:00 pm Luna Del Soul, Redwood City Details: www.meditate.dance We have just a couple of spots left for our Medicine Circle retreat in Malinalco, Mexico, October 16 - 19, 2025. This location holds a special place in my heart—the land itself is medicine, amplifying and deepening our practice. The weaving of the 5Rhythms, the sounds of indigenous instruments, and the sacred energy of this ancient site create something truly magical over our three-day weekend together. Wendy and I cherish this work, and we'd be honored to have you join us in circle. I hope to see you on the dance floor soon—whether locally this weekend or under the Mexican sky. With love and rhythm, Sylvie Minot ABOUT SYLVIE MINOT Sylvie Minot received her BA in Dance from San Jose State University and a Master's Degree in Theology with a focus on Spirituality and Holistic Health.
