![]() As February unfolds, we'll gather to dance in rhythm with the heart of winter, honoring American Heart Month—a time to turn our attention to the beating pulse that sustains us. Our February Sweat Your Prayers™ class invites us to explore the wisdom of our own hearts, moving together in dance that celebrates both physical wellness and spiritual connection. We'll attune ourselves to our heart's many voices—its physical beat that keeps us alive, its emotional wisdom that guides our relationships, and its essence that connects us to something greater than ourselves. Through Sweat Your Prayers, we'll discover how dance can be a gateway to understanding and nurturing our diverse needs. This month, we give special attention to women's heart health, acknowledging that our feminine spirits carry unique rhythms and requirements for wellness. Yet this practice welcomes all genders, all bodies, all hearts—whether they beat steady or irregular, whether they feel open or guarded, whether they're healing or whole. Like the heart itself, which never stops its life-giving dance, we'll move through our practice with both strength and tenderness. We'll feel what it means to keep our hearts open while maintaining healthy boundaries, to pump vitality through our bodies while honoring our need for rest, to connect deeply with our surroundings while staying true to our own pulse. Sweat Your Prayers™ Sweat Your Prayers™ is not just a dance practice; it's a sacred journey into the depths of our being, guided by the wisdom of movement and the power of intention. Created by 5Rhythms founder Gabrielle Roth, this movement practice invites us to explore the divine within ourselves and the world around us. In Sweat Your Prayers™, we merge our bodies with the music, surrendering to the rhythm of our breath and the beat of our hearts. Through this embodied prayer, we awaken our cardiovascular system while simultaneously opening our spiritual hearts. Each movement becomes a celebration of life, each breath a reminder of our precious vitality. This practice is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or experience level. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or stepping onto the dance floor for the first time, you'll find a welcoming and inclusive space to explore and express yourself authentically. There are no steps to follow, no right or wrong way to move; simply let your body lead the way and trust in the wisdom of your own heart's rhythm. Guided by Sylvie Minot's gentle presence, we'll dance in silence, allowing the music to speak to our souls and guide us on our liberating journey of self-discovery.
