The holiday season is upon us and it's a reminder to honor the gifts of life—both the soft and tender moments and the fierce courage we summon when challenges arise. When we move our bodies to music, we are reminded to root ourselves in the present, embracing what we have and who we are. Through this balance of tenderness and strength, we deepen our capacity for love, connection, and right action. I have just landed back home after three wonderful weekend workshops in Europe. I woke up in Belgium to the US election results and needed to proceed with teaching Heartbeat that weekend. Thank goodness for dance. I was shocked and experienced all the emotions, and I’m still experiencing them. The beauty of the 5Rhythms dance practice is that we move through them rather than being stuck in one. My fear is present, but I refuse to act out of fear. Ann Kite and I named our upcoming Heartbeat workshop Fierce Heart because we knew we would need a fierce heart to move forward. The fierce heart is not a closed heart but a courageous one, holding all the emotions and moving forward with integrity and focus. I look forward to working with Ann. We share the same vision of moving our bodies in service of our spirit and our humanity. This workshop will take participants on a movement journey through the emotional rhythms of fear, anger, sadness, joy, and compassion. Together, we'll uncover how a fierce heart remains open—standing firm in life's challenges, moving with clarity, and acting from a place of love. The weekend promises a dynamic blend of wisdom and energy to create a space for self-discovery, compassion, and courage. Fierce Heart Workshop Schedule:
