I’ve just returned from the 5Rhythms Gathering at Buffalo Gap in West Virginia, carrying the magic of extraordinary experiences.

One unforgettable moment happened while I was teaching and dancing Lyrical, the rhythm of air.

Suddenly, the winds picked up, clouds rolled in, and the sound of thunder and flashes of lightning added to our dance. We found ourselves dancing with a thunderstorm above the covered pavilion.

It was a unique and powerful experience that left us all amazed.

There’s something magnetic about embodying Lyrical as the very element it represents begins to swirl around you. Then, as the storm passed, a double rainbow appeared across the sky. This is the essence of Lyrical,  the rainbow after the storm, a sacred bridge that connects our dance to the spiritual realms. 

It was a brief yet potent reminder of the hope and magic that arise when we fully surrender to the rhythms within and around us.

I’m excited to bring this energy home to our local dance community.
