Sunday, December 15th, the full moon arrives at a poignant moment in the year when darkness seems to stretch longer, and the world feels more introspective. Known as the "Cold Moon," it symbolizes a time of deep stillness and inner reflection. As we turn inward, we're invited to explore the landscapes of emotion held within our bodies—those hidden territories of feeling that long to be witnessed and expressed. Majica Alba will lead our Sweat Your Prayers dance in Point Richmond this Saturday. Her theme is giving and receiving—a practice of emotional vulnerability and connection. Meanwhile, I'll be teaching Heartbeat in DC, exploring how to uncover and express the emotions stored in our physical form. Even though I won't be with you in Point Richmond, I like that we'll be dancing together simultaneously in different time zones, connecting through our dances. I hope you will join our Point Richmond dance this Saturday to support Majica and our San Francisco Bay Area community. Syzygy Dance Project’s GivingTuesday campaign is ongoing until the end of the year. Your support brings healing and connection through movement classes for veterans, seniors, and trauma care workers. Plus, in 2025, we want to fund more scholarships for BIPOC facilitator training to expand representation in underserved communities. We really depend on your donations for our veterans programs; we anticipate this need will grow in 2025. Donate through the Syzygy Dance Project website: www.SyzygyDanceProject.org/GivingTuesday19.html or via Sylvie Minot's Facebook Fundraiser: www.Facebook.com/Donate/450057351447066 Comments are closed.
