New Year Sound Wave

Begin the year with deep restoration at Syzygy Dance Project’s annual Sound Waves Benefit,

an intimate sound bath designed to calm the nervous system and renew the spirit.

Step into a peaceful, immersive experience of healing sound in support of

community outreach programs across the Bay Area.

A Restorative Sound Bath for the New Year

In need of deep restoration at the beginning of a new year?

Join us for a peaceful and immersive sound bath experience—an afternoon of deep rest and renewal in support of Syzygy Dance Project’s community outreach programs.

A sound bath is a meditative practice where you are gently “bathed” in waves of sound and vibration. Using instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, flutes, and chimes, the experience helps calm the nervous system, release tension, and support emotional and physical well-being.

Participants simply lie down and receive.

There is nothing to do, nowhere to go, just space to rest and listen.

As sound moves through the body, many people experience a sense of grounding, reduced anxiety, and a return to balance.

This intimate session is guided by Sylvie Minot, alongside a small ensemble of supporting sound volunteers. Together, they create a rich and layered soundscape using crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, indigenous instruments from Peru, and Native American flutes, drums, and rain sticks, played in close proximity to offer a direct experience of resonance and vibrational well-being.
