As we approach the winter solstice, we stand at the threshold of our darkest days, yet within this darkness lives the promise of light's return. Like frost catching the morning sun, we hold both the stillness of winter and the first glimmers of renewal.
I'm very excited to be back in Oakland, teaching the 5Rhythms Sweat Your Prayers for the BIPOC community this Saturday. Last night we experienced a full Beaver Moon. This super moon is about releasing what no longer serves us to create space for what sustains us through the dark season. Wendy and I had a magical time in México, where we facilitated a beautiful Medicine Circle workshop in the sacred land of Malinalco and experienced the celebration of the approaching Day of the Dead, also known in México as Día de Muertos. As we move deeper into autumn's descent, November invites us to turn inward and meet the parts of ourselves that emerge in the darkness. October is a time to honor the sacred threshold between worlds as we approach Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the end of the month. |
