DANCING WITH ANCESTORSDancing with the Ancestors EUROPE DATES:
LOCATION: SÍN Culture Centre, Gyutacs u. 10, 1139 Budapest, Hungary REGISTRATION & INFORMATION: Join us for dances with our Ancestors!Sylvie Minot's Ancestors classes explore your often unconscious family/ancestral patterns and offers a way to shift and release them. Through dance, movement, voice/sound, and guided group exercises, Sylvie uses each of Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms—flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness—to honor your past and create new pathways for healing. 5Rhythms is a simple meditative movement practice designed to release the dancer that lives in every body regardless of shape, size, age, or experience. While the dance itself is simple, it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression. In this ancestor work, we will dance with our ancestry which lives in our heart, soul, collective memory, and DNA. We will call on the wisdom and medicine of our lineage, the power of ancestral lands, and the spirit of the animal clans to guide our dance on this journey. We beckon our bloodlines, spirit animals, and sacred guides to help navigate a magical ancestral journey. Any level of fitness, agility and ages are invited to participate. All are welcome and no prior dance training or ability is required. You must be available for all three days of the workshop. “Breathing in, I see all my ancestors in me: my mineral ancestors, plant ancestors, mammal ancestors, and human ancestors. My ancestors are always present, alive in every cell of my body, and I play a part in their immortality.” “The body holds stories and old wounds, and medicine as well. It has the antidote to heal itself. Through moving, we release our stories and allow healing to come through.” "An experience that transcends dance and delves into our connection to the past. I wholeheartedly recommend this Sylvie's workshop. It has left an indelible impression on my life, and I am excited to continue my journey of self-discovery and moving through my grief journey" |
