Today, I found myself staring at an image of a sunrise with geese flying across the morning sky.
As I paused to take in the picture before me, I imagined myself beginning anew at this moment--a new day, week, year, and a new journey.
Given everything that's happened this year and with all the uncertainty surrounding the Corona-virus disease, we're continually recalculating how to move forward.
But as I stood there contemplating the rising sun, I imagined myself at that moment beginning anew, and I moved my thoughts away from any fears over what "might be" forthcoming. I envisioned the wings of the geese lifting me up as we floated across the morning air, united with the skies above.
I have found this type of visioning a useful practice for times when you are feeling weighed down by fear. You imagine the morning sun, the dawn of a new day, and a fresh way to be in the moment.
This week, let's dance with the image of the rising sun and the sensation of being lifted up into a higher realm of existence.
"Every day a million miracle begins at Sunrise." ~ Eric Jerome Dickey
I hope to dance with you Wednesday, July 29th, via Zoom!

ABOUT SYLVIE MINOT'S 5RHYTHMS CLASS
5Rhythms is a simple movement practice designed to release the dancer that lives in everybody regardless of shape, size, age, or experience. While the practice itself is simple, it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression.
The primary teaching of this work is: If you put your psyche in motion, it will heal itself.
The five rhythms are Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. They come together to create a wave. There are no dance steps to follow. Each rhythm has a different energy and tempo in which we tap into the wisdom of our bodies, bring awareness to the patterns in ourselves and our lives, and find our own individual expression.
In Sylvie Minot’s weekly online class, you will be led on a journey of self-discovery as we come together in community. The class is made up of two waves. The first wave is your time to arrive, let go of your day and settle into your body. During the second wave, we dance more deeply and explore a specific theme.
Any level of fitness, agility and ages are invited to participate. All are welcome and no prior dance training or ability is required.
