“Flowing is more than a rhythm - it’s a specific energy field in which the feminine aspect of the soul is revealed in all its awesome beauty, fierce power, and animal magnetism.” - Gabrielle Roth ~ Flowing - The Ancient Greeks held one of the earliest Mother's Day celebrations during their annual spring festival to honor Rhea, the goddess of nature, motherhood, and fertility. Rhea's name means “flowing” or “flowing stream.” 5Rhythms founder, Gabriel Roth described flowing as more than a rhythm - it’s a specific energy field in which the feminine aspect of the soul is revealed in all its awesome beauty, fierce power, and animal magnetism. In flowing, we honor the feminine aspect within ourselves through movement and breath following the natural rhythm of our feet that bring the body and mind together in spirit. As you move about this Mother’s Day, I invite you to take the time to connect with the divine feminine within us all to nurture yourself, align with what you love, and recharge your sacred energies.
