Autumn is Syzygy Dance Project founder's favorite time of the year because everything feels crisp, the vibration a little more intense, and the veil between our world and the outer world grows thin.

​Dia de Los Muertos is always a meaningful day for Sylvie. It is a time to honor those who came before and offer healing to those in need. It is also a period when she can assist spirits who desire help moving on to their next journey.

It is Sylvie's belief that what the world needs now more than ever is to heal the battles in our minds, bodies, psyches, and the earth's lands. The healing needs to be multi-generational from a time beyond when we were not divided and separated by the land's boundaries.

We invite you to join Sylvie in November for two movement explorations to connect with the wisdom and struggles of our ancestors and restore balance in our lives. Sylvie continues to bring in more of the energetic and mystical map of the 5rhythms, which is why she does the ancestors work. 

If you are unable to join us for either of the Day of the Dead special ancestors' events, on Día de los Muertos we encourage you to light a candle, send a blessing, or offer food for the spirit that comes to mind.

​Sylvie Minot received her BA in Dance from San Jose State University and is a certified 5Rhythms® Teacher who was also trained in the Heartbeat (emotional) map by Gabrielle Roth.

Sylvie has studied psychology, indigenous healing rituals, energy medicine, and sound healing and is inspired by the teachings of cultural anthropologist Angeles Arrien, author and speaker Caroline Myss, and sound healer Tito La Rosa.

​Since 2000, Sylvie has taught weekly dance classes and workshops for a variety of populations. Sylvie is often described as a catalytic shape-shifter because of her ability to meet people right where they are and move with them into new possibilities
