Dance As a Catalyst for Change
The passage of another year is a time of reflection and resolution as we contemplate what hasn't been working, what we have enjoyed creating, and what changes we'd like to see moving into the new year.
It's a period for taking a deeper look at our life—our strengths, weaknesses, habits, assumptions, and regrets. It’s a space for self-examination that offers us the opportunity for transformation and renewal.
Since the beginning of humankind, dance has been part of rituals of change to bring a feeling of transcendence to certain sacred practices. Moving our bodies helps to shift how we see ourselves and the world around us.
5Rhythms dance can serve as a catalyst for the experience of change, allowing us to lose ourselves to the natural rhythms of the body and let go, releasing ourselves into the unknown and finding joy.
As you move into the new year and how you would like 2023 to look, be sure to incorporate music and dance as part of your path toward renewal and change. Invite your body to move more often and release what is no longer serving your greatest good.
We hope to see you at our dance events this coming year to move with you and the change you seek.
