Día de Los Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is a cherished occasion for remembering, honoring, and celebrating our ancestors and loved ones who have journeyed into the afterlife. For Sylvie Minot, the founder of the Syzygy Dance Project, this day holds profound significance as a time to pay homage to those who have transitioned to the next realm. During this special season, the boundary separating our world from the spiritual realm becomes thinner, allowing us to draw in love, healing, and forgiveness. This sacred thinning of the veil offers us a unique opportunity to establish a closer and more intimate connection with those who have departed. Our ancestors can become not just memories, but allies who guide us and provide a wellspring of wisdom that flows from the source of existence. Many cultural traditions have developed practices to acknowledge the energetic presence that exists just beyond the physical world. In light of these meaningful experiences, Sylvie extends an invitation to you to join us in a one-of-a-kind event, where we will come together to dance in the company of these beautiful spirits during this season. You are encouraged to bring photographs, symbols, or any items that represent the individuals who have passed away. These items will be added to our altar in this special class, creating a tangible and heartfelt tribute to those we hold dear. With Love, The SDP Team Day of the Dead Class Details
