I had the incredible opportunity to witness the total eclipse in Austin—a compelling and awe-inspiring experience. Even though it was cloudy, I could still see the shadow of the moon crossing the sun, and as the clouds passed, it was a dance of darkness and light. We were playing peekaboo with the eclipse. I felt the vibration throughout my body as we approached totality. When it hit, the vibration dropped deep inside me into a stillness that was vaster than anything I could imagine. The darkness felt completely different than the cloud's passing, and everything became quiet. The feeling still lives inside of me. The moment when everything was still but completely alive and I was formless as part of this incredible universe. When a sliver of the sun came out, it became day again. It made me think of how powerful the light can be, that only a sliver can light up the whole sky again. The rhythm of Stillness in our 5rhythms practice sometimes gets bypassed. I invite you to dive into this rhythm with all the energies and aliveness of flow, staccato, chaos, and lyrical infused in the quiet awe of Stillness. Join us this Saturday as we unite in dance, allowing the rhythm of awe to flow through our hearts and bodies. Let's dance with the intensity of the sun and the warmth of its radiant energy, embracing the transformative power of movement and connection—from light into darkness and back to light. I look forward to dancing with you.
