The Sacred Truth of the sixth chakra is “Seek only Truth.” This energy center, also referred to as “Ajna,” opens the world beyond our physical eyes. It allows us to perceive apart from the rational mind--past our limiting belief system. It is here where we tap into our intuition and imagination. This inner guidance cuts through illusions, fears, and pre-judgments. Intuition is our link to Spirit. When this guiding channel is open, we trust ourselves to steer our soul’s journey to who and what we are being called to be in this world. This Wednesday, as we dance the sixth chakra in our online gathering, we will move to blend our thoughts, actions, and imagination into one state of consciousness--a state of release and simply knowing. Whether you can join us in class this week or not, I invite you to let your intuition dance you through the upcoming vernal equinox into the new season--one that is farseeing in purpose and expansion. That is what the intuition is for: it is the direct messenger of the soul. With love, Sylvie, and the SDP Team PS. No dance experience needed! Beginners are always welcome. Come join us! You don't have to attend via video--you can choose to listen to the class on your Smartphone. It's another beautiful way to experience our Wednesday classes! The Wednesday evening class begins at 7:00 PM PST and ends at 8:30 PM PST. (California entered into Daylight Saving Time on Sunday march 14, 2021). The Zoom waiting room will open at 6:50 PM PST. The class offers the following *schedule:
*You can attend only the 1st half hour, only the 2nd hour, or the full hour and a half. REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED
ABOUT SYLVIE MINOT'S 5RHYTHMS CLASSIn Sylvie Minot’s weekly online 5Rhythms class, you will be led on a journey of self-discovery as you join others in community. The class is made up of two waves. The first wave is your time to arrive, let go of your day and settle into your body. During the second wave, we dance more deeply and explore a specific theme. 5Rhythms is a simple movement practice designed to release the dancer that lives in every body regardless of shape, size, age, or experience. While the dance itself is simple, it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression. The primary teaching of this work is: If you put your psyche in motion, it will heal itself. The five rhythms are Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. They come together to create a wave. Classes feature DJ music that is facilitated by the teacher, Sylvie Minot. There are no dance steps to follow, but you are guided in breath and movement through the different musical choices. Each rhythm has its own energy and tempo in which you tap into the wisdom of your body, bring awareness to the patterns in yourself and your life, and find your individual expression. No two classes are the same. Any level of fitness, agility and ages are invited to participate. All are welcome and no prior dance training or ability is required. Please note -- for the virtual 5Rhythms class, you don't have to connect via video--you can choose to call in or join by audio only and listen to the class through a headset. Some dancers enjoy going for a walk outdoors while they move to the music.
