The recent Ancestors Workshop, I had the privilege of facilitating in the heart of New York was nothing short of transformative. The energy, the stories, and the collective spirit that emerged from that sacred space left an indelible mark. As I prepare to return home to the Bay Area, I carry with me the echoes of the East Coast, ready to infuse our Sweat Your Prayers dance this month with a blend of regional flavors. This class takes on a special significance as we pay homage to National Native American Heritage Month. In the ancestral lands we call home, we'll come together on Saturday November 18th to dance not only with the Bay Area tribe but also with the essence of the East Coast, creating a unique fusion of movement that echoes the diversity of our cultural tapestry. National Native American Heritage Month is a time for reflection, respect, and recognition. It's an opportunity to honor the land on which we dance and the original ancestors who have been its stewards for generations. As we move in harmony with the rhythms of our collective history, we'll express gratitude for the rich tapestry of cultures that have shaped the very ground beneath our feet. Join us this Saturday, where the dance floor becomes a sacred space to honor the legacy of Native American heritage. Note that, our dance session will take place from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. It's a time for our hearts and bodies to resonate with the rhythm of gratitude, acknowledging the profound connection we share with the land and its ancestral guardians. Let our dance transcend geographical boundaries, weaving together the threads of East Coast and West Coast energies. In this dance, we become a living testament to the resilience, wisdom, and beauty of Native American heritage, a celebration that echoes far beyond the confines of the dance floor. Join us as we move, honoring the land, our ancestors, and the rich tapestry of cultures that shape our collective identity.
