As the final days of July unfold around us, the sun-drenched afternoons and longer evenings offer a memorable backdrop for getting outside with nature and moving our bodies. These longer days provide us extra time to get outdoors when we can pay attention to the connection between us and our environment. Use the last of these longer days to enjoy a walk near the water, where the water's edge supports the gentle lapping of the waves. Or a walk in a park, taking in the tree canopies dancing above as they hug the sky. And breathe deeply. When you move your body in nature, become attuned to every sensation, every whisper of your muscles, and the rise and fall of your breath. There's a harmonious conversation between your inner thoughts and the natural world around you. As you stretch your muscles, feel the profound sense of presence and the bond with nature that transcends time. The ground beneath your feet offers its gentle bounce as if inviting you to pay attention to the earth's rhythm and the interconnectedness of all life. Take in the smell of the fresh air and the sound of the birds, bees, and the tickle of breeze as it moves through your surroundings. Bring your attention to the present moment. Embrace the joy of moving our bodies as summer begins its final dance of the year. Try a little outdoor moving meditation, or come join us at one of our classes before the end of summer. With love, Sylvie and the SDP Team The mind can go in a thousand directions, but on this beautiful path, I walk in peace. Join us in person on Saturday, August 12, 2023 for a Sweat Your Prayers with Sylvie Minot
