 This past week, a few unexpected moments manifested themselves and I was forced to quickly change direction. It was Dr. Wayne Dyer who once said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Truer words have rarely been spoken.  The first day of fall in the northern hemisphere is this Wednesday, the autumn equinox, where night and day are equal when the moon embraces the sun. It is a balance of light and dark. The Harvest moon rises right after sunset creating an abundance of bright moonlight early in the evening, which traditionally aided the fall harvest.  Join us Saturday August 14, 2021 for a pop-up Sweat Your Prayers dance outside in a magical garden in Mill Valley or on Zoom in your own space. 
Summer is a time for everything to come into full bloom. The rainbow colors of Pride month also connect with the vibrant colors of summer.  The transcendental experience of Thursday's Ring of Fire eclipse is a continuance of May's super full moon and lunar eclipse in Sagittarius.  Many indigenous cultures believe that the inner and outer worlds are mirrors of each other. We contain an entire world inside of us--all of the elements of nature and energies of the planets and stars.  Among the few things that are constant in our lives in a time of chaos is our breath and the moon: the breath's supportive presence and the moon's elliptical orbit around us. Just as the moon regularly expands to its fullest every 28 days, our chest swells to its fullest each time we inhale a precious breath.
